VISUAL SEARCH

At ImageVision, our goal is to reduce your risk, achieve operational efficiencies, and protect your brands while visually searching in real-time for nudity and objectionable images/video. With our EyeGuardian™ enterprise software, ImageVision delivers a solution that not only safeguards your network and your company but also ensures that your workforce can safely use the latest mobile, virtual, and state-of-the-art technologies without the fear of illicit content creeping into your network.

Traditional image scanners rely on digital signature files that are pre-compiled to identify and block images and video. Digital signature lists can be compared to a URL blacklist in both effectiveness and protection.  The limitation of this technique is that only those images and videos reviewed and categorized by human eyes are added to the signature lists. There are over a million new websites created daily with new content. This becomes a problem as new or unknown content commonly found on the web will not be blocked with these filters.

Unlike current signature and URL-based filters, EyeGuardian can search and detect specifically for nudity in email, browser cache and temporary files, hard-drives, and network resources.

With the proliferation of social networking sites - such as Facebook, YouTube, dating sites and services, product forums, and blogs – the shared commonality is the ability for subscribers to upload pictures and video.  Additionally, most of the social networking sites also have in-system services such as messaging and video conversations available.

The content filtering solutions provided by ImageVision will recognize and block illicit content in real-time by leveraging the latest machine vision, artificial intelligence, and visual object recognition algorithms pioneered.  Text, pictures and video are assessed for corporate compliance based upon user-defined or IT administrator guidelines.

The EyeGuardian™ analyzer utilizes advanced object recognition and an advanced artificial intelligence decision tree to scan the composition of images identifying attributes that indicate if the image is of a pornographic or objectionable nature.

web 2.0 and social Networking

"Web 2.0" refers to the shift towards interactive websites that facilitate consumer interaction with information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web.  Examples of Web 2.0 sites include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, and blogs.  A Web 2.0 site allows subscribers to interact with other subscribers or to change website content, in contrast to non-interactive websites where subscribers are limited to the passive viewing.  Content on Web 2.0 sites is too dynamic and therefore, flies under the radar of legacy security systems.

The openness and sheer volume of available information that makes Web 2.0 applications powerful business tools also opens businesses to potential liabilities as the Web was designed to share, not to protect.  With massively more content available, we need the means to filter it making the content safe for universal viewing.

All businesses, large or small, use both wired and wireless networks to secure those networks from potential security risks and threats. Unfortunately, enterprise-owned resources like PCs, cell phones and IT networks are used to transmit and store inappropriate material generated or submitted by employees. Enterprises are required by law to protect employees from a hostile work place and harassment cases typically name as defendants both the perpetrator and the company, even if the company had no direct knowledge of the infraction.

ImageVision products and services provide enterprises with a higher level of security by offering the ability to visually search real-time communications, as well as, archived data stores for potentially inappropriate content. This quality allows the company to address issues proactively, significantly reducing legal risks and demonstrating advanced governance and the protection of employees.
